Hi EWM experts, Though we setup Pack. spec in our system , Pack. Spec not determined for any of IBD and did not create any HU automatically. Even system does not show any log/error to know the reason. Any help on this.

EWM - Bin Angle
Hello,
I am very new to EWM so my knowledge is limited. My company will be implementing EWM within the next year and a half and we are trying to better understand the different functions of EWM.
Could you please explain what the bin angle is and how to use it?
I know it defines one corner of a bin, but does it actually pertain the the degrees a bin can be tilted?

Bin Angle Settings for Warehouse
Hello,
Please see the above picture. It compares where our current distribution center (in red) physically faces, versus the true compass directions (N, S, E, W)
Our warehouse physically faces 16 degrees from true North. A lot of our aisles run parallel to this. My question is if we have a bin (1) that faces with the picking side outward (black arrow), would it be set as 16 degrees?
Similarly, if we have a bin (2) that faces the opposite direction with the picking side outward, would it be set as (16 + 180) = 196?

I am working for an MNC for couple of years now in SAP MM . Now I think this is the right time to do a SAP certification . I am planning to do a EWM certification considering the value in current market .
My question is ,Is it a good choice to go with EWM certification instead of an IS Retail or MM . Does SAP allow to do EWM certification alone .Any good training centers name will do good as well .

QIE and sampling processes
Hi
I am looking for help with QIE and sampling processes.
During the Goods Receipt in EWM, I am trying to set up an inspection rule which will allow me to perform the GR and then take the physical sample. I am using detailed inspection plans in ECC system and maintaining my sample drawing procedures and sampling procedures in the ECC system.
I want to pull the right number and quantity of physical samples from the ECC inspection plans and have the sample pull documented correctly in EWM.
If anyone could provide feedback, I would appreciate it.

Relationship: AutoCAD, Excel & EWM
Hello,
We are currently searching for the easiest way to populate X, Y, Z bin coordinates, angles and all other data with extreme accuracy in EWM.
Our goal right now is to obtain an accurate 3D model of our warehouse in AutoCAD. We are looking to outsource for that, as we do not have that ability internally.
Question: Is there a way to upload our AutoCAD drawing into EWM and let that populate all of the bin data? Is there a link between the AutoCAD drawing and automatically generating all of the bin data in Excel? Can Excel read information from AutoCAD?
If not, is the only option for us to manually set up all bin data in Excel, and then have that uploaded to EWM?
Please let me know if this question makes sense, or if there needs to be more clarification.

Main item and Hierarchy level items in SAP EWM
We use ERP SAP AFS and EWM 9.1
ERP sales order 20000 - 5PCS ( Different grid values chosen and delivery is distrubuted to EWM)
Outbound delivery order contains main item and corresponding SKU displayed with Grid values like Color, Cup and Size. (Hierarchy Level)

We create Warehouse tasks for SKU items ( Items 60,70,80,90,100) for picking.
I need to process VAS activites for this.
Price labeling and putting on plastic bag for all SKU's ( 2 VAS activity).
I have maintained packaging specification and tried to process it.
But here I get an error in VAS order. Because WR Qty from ODO to VAS order is not copied. It is getting deleted at the time of VAS order creation.
Then I tried to maintain the packaging specification for item 20000 (main item) and process the VAS order. Here VAS order got created and WR Qty also displayed.
But Picking Warehouse tasks are created for SKU items not for main items. In this case I am not able to process it also.
Packaging specification for main item or SKU item I should consider? If it is for SKU , need to have lot of master data. Is there any link i can make maintaining packspec for main item and process the warehouse tasks for SKU.
Which way i have to go now?

1. Can we operate EWM Yard Management with flexibility to use
e.g. GI Yard area for Inbound Process alos (Goods Receiving) also ?
What would be the implications ?
How Would be Staging area and Door Determination for inbound / outbound in that case?
The requirement is Yard Areas could be used flexibly either for receivng or outbound proccess.

1. Can we set up putaway bin determination based on Pallet Height ?
2. The Pallets height being recived in warehouse is changed frequently
by vendor . Vendor sends different height pallets.

Dear Friends,
We are using warehouse management in SAP and currently use transaction code LU04 for posting quantity to final bin after inspection. Report of the bin is also
Now our customers want this process to be automated. Which means when partial posting is done in qa32, for each posting, automatic LU04 should happen with the bin card being printed.
We found that there are no exits to achieve this.
Kindly provide solution.

Movement Cntrl field in Warehouse Request Item
Dear Gurus,
Thre is a field "Movement Cntrl" in every warehouse request item data.
Can any body explain how this field is populated.
Our issue
In EWM Posting Change document item details the field value is coming as.
"A" - Picking or putaway will take place
We want the field to be set as " " - Space
So that we need not require to create warehouse task from the posting change document and we post the posting Change directly.

How to transfer BBD of batch from EWM to MCHA in ERP?

As I know, EWM integrating ERP with batch attribute by batch class.
Our ERP use BBD in table MCHA/MCH1.
If BBD data changed in EWM as class characteristics, CIF/qRFC can transfer it to ERP class characteristics, but not update field of MCHA/MCH1?
Should I have to update batch table by writing enhancement or other program?

How to upload the Cycle Count Indicator from ERP into EWM
Hello Gurus,
Can someone tell me what the transaction is to upload the Cycle Count Indicator from the ERP into EWM? I am currently researching the cycle count functionality of EWM for a roll-out at our facility, and this information would be most helpful.
As I understand it, there are transactions for the Global Material Master Data upload, Storage Unit Type in the Palletization Data fields of the ERP (which seems to be translated as the SUT to Packing Material), and Unit of Measure management. Also, judging by a document I found, the Cycle Count Indicator isn't uploaded in the Global Material Data, but I did see that the field has relevency in the EWM packing specifications.
Does this mean that the indicators must be uploaded through the "SUT to Packing Material" transaction (/SCWM/MIG_MAP_SUT)?
What if the Cycle Count Indicator should require a change? Does the change have to be made in ERP and pushed to EWM, do they get updated separately, or is there a way to allow for automatic updating?
I hope the question doesn't seem too complex, but it is the only way I could drill down enough to get what I hope I need.

Negative Qty has genereted in 914 even though I've enough stock is available
Hi Every Body,
When I confirm the Production Order, system has generating the negative stock in 914 even though I've enough stock.
Scenario :- I've total 100 qty in my bin out of 100, I've set 20 qty as Blocked qty. when confirm the PO with 50 qty system generates the negative stock which I don't want to happen, My question is why system is creating negative qty even though I've enough qty(80) to consume.
Please help me...
