Implementing Extended WM

Dear Experts,

I used to implement Material management then Implement WM which is a component in the ERP , But now there is a client wants to implement EWM , What I know that there are only two choices :

1. Install ECC - ERP and install the EWM Addon

2. Install SCM EWM 7.0

 

- So is this mean that I should first implement MM them Implement EWM ? , with another way " Could I Implement EWM without Inventory Transactions in Inventory Management Module  " ?

 

- Please provide me with documents and links to guide me how to implement EWM only with out MM transactions , and If it not possible could I only use " Non SAP ERP System " to be alternative of MM Module ?

Stock Inconsistency in between ECC and EWM

Hi EWM Guru's

 

for one material we have quantity 1 in ECC and in EWM it is 0.

 

please guide how to remove the this inconsistency in between ECC and EWM.

 

if i need to run check monitor please provide the right t code and where i need to insert  values in check monitor.

Putaway strategy: Addition to existing stock

Hi,

 

we have a storage type where we can put multiple pallets in one bin. Capacity check if active and working.

 

Below table shows in what kind of bins (=bin type) a P090 (=normal pallet, 90cm height) can be putaway.

 

For the storage type we have activated addition to existing stock and some other settings as you can see in below screenshot.

 

 

Article A was putaway manually by the user in a P180 bin, maybe because you can stack 2 P090 pallets. No other bins contain article A so far.

 

Now there is another P090 pallet of article A in the GR area that should be putaway. System will propose an empty P100 bin using above table ignoring the addition to existing stock setting. Is there a wrong setting in above screenshots or is this the normal behavior? Is there a way to force the system that it will propose the P180 or any other bin with stock instead of empty P100 bin?

Picking in Bulk Behavior Storage Type

Hi All,

 

My requirement is that we need to pick full HU for Bulk Storage. Say for example, I have a outbound delivery for 30 qty and there are 3 HUs in the bins, each HU with 20 qty in them making a total of 60 qty in the bin.

 

Now, during WT confirmation, I confirmed 1st task with 1HU (20 qty) and for the remaining 10 qty, when I try to pick HU, system is throwing error as "Actual quantity 20.00000000000000 EA is not equal to target quantity 10.00000000000000 EA"

 

These are the Master Data and Config settings maintained in the system:

 

Master Data:

1. Maintained Quantity Classification as Pallet in Sto. Type view in Product Master.

2. Maintained Quantity Classification in Pack Spec in Main Level for 20 qty and Operative UOM as "PAL."

 

Config:

1. Maintained Round Units as 4 & 5 in Sto. Type & Process Type.

 

Can you kindly check and advise how should I achieve my requirement of picking full HUs. in Bulk Storage Type. As in this example, system should allow me to pick 2 full HUs each with 20qty and making it a total of 40qty.

POSC Outbound process

I have configured the POSC outbound process, but when I try to do the PICK HU from WH order, it is not displaying any thing in this tab, due to this Im unable to create HU.

 

Can any one  guide me on this.

Hi,

 

I am having stock inconsistencies in between ECC and EWM.

 

ECC quantity for a product it is 1 and EWM it is 0

 

when i run check monitor i see the below, but not sure where i can correct this/make changes.

Deployment option of EWM

hI,

I am new to EWM and want the experts to address below question-

 

a) Can we have EWM without implementing WM in ECC

 

b) Can we install EWM without having any ECC component? If yes then how the CIFing will work for masterd ata like shipping point, customer, vendor etc

 

c) In order to have yard management, is it always an add on EWM and wheather separate licence cost are involve din order to get access to yard management

Dear all,

 

I am using EWM 9.1.

 

In following path in EWM -

 

SPRO - SCM Extended warehouse management - Extended warehouse management - Internal Warehouse processes - Physical Inventory - Warehouse Number Specific settings - Specify Physical Inventory specific settings in the warehouse

 

What is meaning of "No tolerance check in counting" indicator?

If set, is it correct that the system does not check any tolerances during counting and allows any value?

Integrate HU packing data of outbound delivery into ERP from EWM before PGI happens.

Hello experts,

 

 

There is a custom development which needs to be done for integrating HU packing data into ERP outbound delivery before PGI happens in EWM for outbound delivery.

 

As per standard the HU packing data gets updated in ERP  once the PGI is completed in EWM for outbound delivery.

 

But our requirement it should get updated in ERP before the PGI happens.

 

As soon as the packing is completed for outbound delivery in EWM, it should be updated in ERP outbound deliivery.

 

Can it be achieved through PPF or any BADI that can map HU EWM data to HU ERP in outbound delivery.

 

Let me know if anyone has faced such scenario.

HU deleted but still stock and SU in WM

Hi,

 

I deleted 3 HU's using HU02 but still MMBE/LX02 showing the stock in WM instead going to non-HU storage location.

I also checked for any inconsistency between WM/IM using LX23. there is nothing like that.

 

Now how to use the stock as neither i am able to use VLMOVE nor MB1B for any movement.

 

Kindly suggest.

TM-EWM integration

Hi,

A quick question on the integration set up:

When freight order is transferred to EWM from TM, automatically TU is created in EWM and assigns outbound delivery request/order to it.Then in the shiiping cockpit the shipping office clerk assigns a door to the TU. My question is on what parameters the door is assigned since business requires that based on time for slot booking, the door should be assigned.Hence I would like to know all the parameters that are considered here.

Error message in qRFC when GI from EWM

Dear EWM Gurus,

 

        We've found error during interface GI posting from EWM to ECC with error message below in SMQ2 (inbound queue monitor). Could you please advise how to solve?

 

Procedure

Cancel current processing.

 

Contact your system administrator.

 

Action to be taken by the system administrator

 

Check in Customizing for Inventory Management under Copy, Change Movement Types whether the entry is contained in the Update control view for the movement type.

 

If the entry is missing, proceed as follows:

For standard movement types, this means that the given process is not supported using the present data combination. Do not create any entries without prior arrangement with your SAP consultant. Otherwise, incorrect postings may result.

 

For customer-defined movement types (beginning with 9, X, Y, or Z), this may mean that they have not been fully defined. Delete the movement type and re-create it by copying a standard movement type.

Reservation no. in EWM

        When production created reservation document and interface to EWM. We need to use reservation no. to find Outbound D/O on EWM to proceed. Is there any field on EWM Outbound delivery that refer reservation no.? Kindly suggest. Thanks.

Error exception code "CHBD" when confirm putaway wt

Dear EWM Guru,

 

 

I change destination bin (change both storage type and bin) in warehouse task and input the exception code "CHBD".

 

But got the error message;

 

Using exc.code CHBD requires also the change of the related dest. data

Message No. /SCWM/L3099

 

Please suggest.

Putaway Task not created after Quality inspection

Hello,

 

I have configured inbound process with quality inspection. I didnt use POSC but instead LOSC. I configured step QIS with warehosue process type 3060 for the warehouse. Everything is already set up and I am able to perform usage decision. However after usage decision, putaway task is not created. The handling unit does not go from inbound section to outbound section of the workcenter.

 

I'm wondering if this has something to do with missing configuration. I hope someone can help me point out possible ares for investigation.
