Material staging in production with IM and WM storage locations

Hello,

 

I have the following situation at hand in a Client.

They use Process Orders and want to do material staging of the components.

The Production Supply área is an IM managed storage location but the storage location of the components is WM managed.

The staging should take place as pick parts (control cycle) transfering the components from the WM storage location to the IM production Storage location.

Im not sure we need to use Deliveries instead of Transfer Requirements.

 

Is this escenario posible and if so, how to configure it.

Staging bay determination issue

Hi Experts,

 

When I pick products from storage types, system in proposing same source bin as the staging bay bin which is not correct.

If the stock still exists in same bin and another bin, it is proposing any of the bin as staging bay . If the stock exists in single bin,

then populating same source bin as staging bay bin.

 

Can you please help me what is causing the issue?

Add to Existing Putaway Strategy

Dear Experts,

 

our business scenario as below:

we use handling unit in our warehouse

 

We want to putaway Product A ,Batch 001 to the same bin which has Product A,BatchXXX, if system can't find add to exist stock, it will guide next empty bin.

 

Our question :

Does the standard add to exist strategy can match our business scenario?

we think add to exist stock means that the same product and can be different bacth?

Exception code issue

Hi Experts,

 

  I have to use exception codes BIDF and BIDP for picking process, so, i have configured them but i don't see exception codes when i make F4 in  /SCWM/TO_CONF to confirm short pick in foreground. I have done the configuration settings in Cross process settings - exception codes

and assigned my user name to exception code profile as well.

 

Can you please suggest me if anything i am missing?

"Select All" selection in LT23 Edit menu is not active

Hi Experts

 

In the Edit Menu of LT23 T Code, "Select All"  and " Deselect All" option is greyed out i.e. inactive. Business wants to use this option in LT23.

 

Can anyone please advide , can these option be activated. If yes the how to do the same.

Inspection document not generated upon GR

Hi all,

 

I have created PO and IBD in ERP and it was successfully distributed to EWM, in EWM the Stock Type for the IBD is F1 (Unrestricted-Use in Putaway), while I expect it to be Q3 (Stock in QI in Putaway) because I have assigned Quality Inspection Group to the product, there should be an Inspection Document created while GR is done, but it was not created.

 

Can anybody tell me how the Stock Type is determined and why Inspection Document was not generated?

How is the Document type of inbound delivery determined in EWM

Hi all,

 

I created an inbound delivery for PO in ERP, in EWM I can see the inbound delivery, the Document Type is INB, does anybody know where does the Document Type come from?

Equivalent tables for MARA, MAKT and MCH1 in the EWM system

Hi,

 

 

I would like to construct a report using the existing tables in EWM. But it turns out that it's somewhat different from the ECC system.

 

 

The material tables, MARA and MAKT and the batch table, MCH1 table are not there. I need the material number( like MARA-MATNR), material description/name(MAKT-MAKTX), the division ( MARA-SPART) and the batch number(MCH1-CHARG) and expiration date(MCH1-VFDAT).

 

Could someone provide the EWM equivalent for these tables and fields?

Inbound Delivery Header Date Tab is not getting updated

We have unloading & GR in eWM against Inbound Delivery Scenario. Unloading is happening in eWM but in ECC the Inbound Delivery Header Data Date Tab is not getting updated with In Site entry. Please advise what might be the possible reason.

 

It's highlighted in the attached picture. The Ideal scenario should be like the picture but in reality the Date Tab is appearing as blank.

Split Valuation in EWM

Hi All

 

In SAP Help it was given like

 

batches in EWM are used to handle valuation types of split-valuated products that are not batch-managed in ERP. To use such products in EWM, you must first execute the transaction Determine and Set Prices in ERP or run the corresponding report /SCWM/R_VALUATION_SET. The report downloads the valuation types from the ERP system, which are then handled as batches in EWM.

But when I run this report it is just creating entry in table /scwm/t_set_val not creating batches.


Can someone help if I have to maintain any other configs?

LSMW to upload data in WM execution and WM Packaging view

Hello Experts,

 

Has anyone worked on LSMW to upload data in WM Packaging and WM Execution views of ECC material Master?

 

We are using direct input method, but I am not sure if that is useful to upload data in WM Execution and WM Packaging views?

 

For example MARA-HUTYP_DFLT(Standard HU Type)

MARA-SERIAL(Serial Number Profile)

 

These fields get activated after we activate the 2 views(WM Packaging and WM Execution) in Material Master.

How to transfer stock from Stock type F1 to stock type F2 in EWM ?? I am unable to post goods issue for OD. stock is available in F1 (100 EA) but storage bin determination is showing stock type F2.

EWM and QM Integration

Hi ,

 

 

We have the following scenario with QM and EWM Integration , So could you pleas let me know for any suggestions

 

1. Create two materials for ex. 259 and 581 with same vendor with control key Z100

 

2. Create a purchase order for both the materials 259 and 581  and create the inbound delivery for the same so that It passes to EWM…mean while the vendor loses license for one material i.e. 259

 

3. Go to QI02 (T Code) change info record for 259 material and make it as total block

 

4. Now the EWM shouldn’t post the document and it should give the error for quality

 

5. Second material 581 should get posted without quality reasons

Error message in /scwm/rfui

Hi All.

 

We have customized the /scwm/rfui and added extra validations . Here when user gets error message , system should stop for further to proceed. Once he enters any key , it should allow to scan for new one.

 

1. How to use pop up message in /scwm/rfui

So for this we thought of giving pop up message. But it is not working.

 

Iam using the method : /SCWM/CL_RF_BLL_SRVC=>MESSAGE. But after the message , system is confirming the WT rather than going back to screen.

 

Can any one help on this.

 

2.How to use message in same RF screen 

Also how to display success message in the below the screen because if  we try to give success or warning , system is not displaying. It is only displaying error message .

 

 

Please do needful help for these.

Mixed storage issue in bin

Hi Experts,

 

Our warehouse don't allow mixed storage of products for any bin. But, i see there are two products in specific bin. Which is issue now.

I tried to look at back at storage type level and product level for any assigned fixed bins, I dont see anything wrong there.

 

Can you please help me what else could be causing this issue to store mixed products in bin?

Update of EWM unloading on Inbound delivery which is trigger for Event management

Hi Experts,

 

We have scenario where after unloading in EWM  system integration updates Inbound delivery in ECC on header dates tab with the information. This information is transferred further for event management system which is SAP SCM system. Right now it is happening in sandbox but not happening in other system. We are trying to identify what are all settings which minds this updates in ECC but could not succeed. We are not able to see this in SMQ2 of ECC or EWM.

 

Need help to understand how to locate this? where does this information stuck? How does it update in ECC from EWM ? is it through IDOC or

something else?

Posting change in EWM

How to do a posting change in the source bin without moving stock to another bin when triggered from ECC. I used MIGO to execute a posting change from AFS Unrestricted to AFS Blocked. I got a posting change request in EWM which selected the process type 4010. I have set up my stock removal strategy to search a list of storage types when the WPT is 4010. For WPT 4010 I have kept the setting "posting change in the same bin".

 

When I tried to create a warehouse task for the posting change request, system found stock from a storage type which has the setting "posting change in the same bin" and mixed storage setting "2 Several HUs with Different Batches of the Same Product" and mixed storage in HUs setting "1 mixed storage not allowed". I do not use batch management and my storage type has no HUs.

 

However the system is also trying to find a destination bin and since I have not maintained a putaway storage search sequence for WPT 4010 it fails. But I want the system to perform the posting change in the source bin. How do I achieve this?

EWM - Bin Angle

Hello,

 

I am very new to EWM so my knowledge is limited. My company will be implementing EWM within the next year and a half and we are trying to better understand the different functions of EWM.

 

Could you please explain what the bin angle is and how to use it?

 

I know it defines one corner of a bin, but does it actually pertain the the degrees a bin can be tilted?

After VL31N in ECC,Inbound delivery is not found in EWM system

Hi,

 

When i create inbound delivery in ECC system(VL31N),i am not able to find the inbound delivery in EWM system even i correctly done the integration between ECC and EWM.

 

Can anyone to help to solve this issue..
