Text position in Outbound Delivery Request - no reference

Morning experts,

 

I'm a little bit confused at the moment:

 

I have a delivery note in ERP system, X positions, for Spain

 

When this dnote is distributed to EWM, it automatically gets an extra text position, without any reference to ERP document:

As you can see position is completly empty, no reference, ...

 

This happens only for Spain orders, thought maybe somtehing wrong with the customer/business partner, but can't find anything different to "normal" customers.

 

Any ideas what can happen here?

Can someone indicate which object/configuration field impacts the value of field 'Automatic Qty Adjustment' at item level of an internal stock transfer order please ? Default value is initial, and I'd need it to be 'A - Quantity Adjustment During Creation of Warehouse Task' to allow overpicking

SAP eWM 2-way integration simulation tools

I need your help to get implementation details on the below topic.

My client is implementing SAP eWM and the Knapp/SSI Schafer warehouse automation system

I'm looking for a test platform to test and simulate the two-way integration between the systems.

In particular, the movements of totes through the warehouse and their interaction with printers, rails, servers, racks, operatives.

There are OEM simulation software (e.g. Knapp KiSoft Sandbox) to emulate the warehouse side of the integration and simulate the statistical delays and queues associated with the printer and totes. 

the simulation software should help to simulate the Idoc messages to and from the SAP and warehouse machines.

Does anyone have any examples of this being implemented with OEM simulation software eg KiSoft or other ?  

Could you please help to get the implementation details like testing approach used during the testing phases like development, intergration, regresssion and UAT test.

Fixed bin stock removal with no SU proposal

Hi Gurus,

 

I am currently configuring a warehouse for a client who has the following stock placement and stock removal requirements:

 

Stock Placement:

 

1. Putaway to dedicated bin (Bins will be dedicated to specific materials) - All bins have a fixed capacity and must not exceed this fixed capacity

2. Putaway to a Bin defined as “Promotion” – No capacity check and mixed storage

3. Putaway to bins defined as “Shipping Lanes” – Max capacity 30 PAL and mixed storage allowed

 

Stock Removal:


1. Check  “Shipping Lanes”

2. Check “Promotion”

3. Check Fixed Bins

 

I have configured the shipping lanes as bulk storage with capacity as 30 in the block structure. For the promotion bin I have defined stock placement strategy as Open Storage and strategy Fix Bins for the dedicated bin scenario. The warehouse is SU managed.

 

The issue is with regards to stock removal from Open Storage and Fixed Bins. We do not want a SU to be proposed when a Transfer Order is created through LT03. I know that bulk storage does not propose the SU's while stock removal.

 

Is there anyway for me to overwrite the SU while creating the TO or have a custom strategy to not propose the SU. Please help, this is urgent.

Hi everyone,

 

Scenario:-  I have create inbound delivery & Create the task for unload. After the unload task confirmed  system not create another task

And one queue stuck on SMQ2 and I check the log .  Please advise what to do, perhaps Im missing some config or settings.

SAP TM - EWM - Warehouse Billing

Dear All,

 

We are planning to move to TM 9.3 and EWM 9.3 from our legacy (warehousing and freight) application. Currently the warehouse invoices are generated from the legacy warehousing application. We read that with EWM 9.3 warehouse billing feature is added. So going forward will we be able to use this feature for generating the invoicing using EWM 9.3 and TM 9.3. So the question is whether we will be able to consume the standard TM customer invoicing interface xml file or is there any separate xml file for warehouse billing.

Queue WMQF, FM /SCWM/QDECIDED_FUP_PROCESS

Hello gurus,

 

We just upgraded from EWM 7.02 to EWM 9.2. We use QIE for usage decision. After the upgrade in our QA system, we are getting queues with prefix WMQF#### (#### being WhNo), wtih function module /SCWM/QDECIDED_FUP_PROCESS.

 

Although the LUWs are not being processed because we haven't activated that queue, the QI process is working normally.

 

Does anybody know what is the purpose of this queue/function module?

Batch required in product master - ERP not

Experts,

 

I have several products in ERP, all without batch mangement required flag.

Today I ciffed them first time - in EWM, all these products have the flag (so batch is required).

 

Question is - why the flag is set? Any ideas?

Stock Upload of Nested HU's via /SCWM/ISU

Dear Colleagues,

 

I've ben trying to create a file that will upload two test HU's (via /scw/psu) with one HU nested level of HU into the other,please see file attached

 

Nevertheless,the file doesn't get uploaded for whatever reason...I think I have maintained the coloumns '' Handling Unit'& '' correctly,but can you please let me know what you think.

One Pick HU WT for multiple line items of ODO

Hi,

 

We have a requirement that the HU will be built first in EWM system and stored in a separate storage type.

 

In ECC, Sales order & delivery created for same HU contents as order items,

 

In EWM, We need to pick the already built HU for the components in the delivery.

 


Can you please provide your suggestions.

 

Is there anyway to create one Pick HU WT for multiple line items of ODO?

Is there anyway to combine multiple Warehosue requests in one Pick HU WT?

EWM-MFS: RFC requests take 2-6 secs / Seeking advice

Good day experts,

 

we are curently testing our MFS setup in the warehouse. Basically we have a sufficient performance for most of the telegrams. I observed however, that in certain situations EWM takes let's say 3 secs to respond to an inbound telegram (not outbound) while the normal response time is 100-200ms. In such cases I was not able to see any application activity.

I suspect that we had not enough dialog processes configured in the system. I increased them now and set quota for RFCs to 90% (rdisp/max_comm_entries). We'll be testing it this weekend again.

 

Questions I have:

 

  • How many dialog processes do you run on your EWM machine? I couldn't find any advice here how to calculate these. We will have 384GB main memory on the future machine with 16 cores AAA class CPUs. In the test machine 8 cores and 64GB RAM I have now increased the amount to 60 DIA. Any info here is very welcome, ideally of course if you run MFS
  • Anything that I should consider for RFC communication in addition? Maybe in the BC area something worth checking? Any magic switch for RFC communication?
  • Is there any way to see a history of RFC connections used? I'm aware of transaction SARFC so far but that's for checking the current load.
  • Anyone here that has observed similar behaviour of EWM-MFS meaning it was responsive except certain unpredictable moments?

EWM sample-drawing procedure issue

Hi,

I'm having problem with sampling scheme in EWM.

When I create inbound delivery, with handling units informations, in ECC,

and then check EWM /SCWM/PRDI it looks like the sample-drawing procedure

was completely missed in calculation samples quantities to testing and takes only

fixed value of sample quantity.

 

 

I've found BADI QIE_INDIV_SMP_DRWI but I'm not sure if that will solve my issue.

Can You tell me also how to make BADI working, couse it's active and I have debugger

point set in implementation but I don't now how to trigger it.

Error with PP EWM integration

Hello folks, I am getting below error message. Please note the shipping point for plant has been maintained as well as other settings as per SAP documentation. Also the components in production order has been tested for both inbound (against purchase order) and outbound (against sale order). So am a little surprised that am getting below error when outbound delivery for component from production order is failing with below message. Also please note I have also maintained key setting required for EWM PP integration  "In customizing for SAP ERP choose Logistics Execution  Decentralized WMS Integration  Central Processing  Application  Define Interface to Inventory Management and Delivery-Relevant Data"  "Error Message no. /SPE/MAN007 Diagnosis For production supply deliveries to be created in plant PL03,  various data has to be maintained in the supplying and the receiving plant: Shipping point Sales organization Distribution channel (only in the supplying plant) Division (only in the supplying plant) Customer (only in the supplying plant) Vendor (only in the receiving plant) System Response Because of the missing data it is not possible to create a delivery " Any clues or help from others who may have gone through this issue is highly appreciated. Warehouse Management used as a Batch system for non batch material?

We need to keep the Migo number (or rather a number we get in migo) for all of our imported material.


I do not see a problem achieving this for material with batch but I do not know how to keep this information for non-batch material.


Could maybe this be done with storage bins with Warehouse Management?

Labor time spent on completing Packing POSC step

Hi,

 

Want your suggestions as to how we can capture the labor time spent on packing step in POSC.

Requirement is we have to capture the Labor time spent of packing process step.

 

Our POSC has got: OB01, OB02, OB03 & OB04 process steps.

 

with OB01 step completion, a pick HU is created and moved to Packing work center.

As a next step when we perform packing in the work center  i.e. reapck the pick HU to Ship HU

System is creating a WT for OB02 step and immediately confirming the same.

 

So we thought by removing immediate confirmation from Repack WPT: 3040, labor time could be monitored. But system gives us an error when we do this.

 

Can any one of you suggest how we can acheive this requirement?
